Leeds Brewery Save Historic Leeds Pub

Leeds Brewery have just purchased the historic Garden Gate Public House in Hunslet, Leeds from Punch Taverns saving it from closure.
The pub which was built in 1903, and is widely regarded as the most beautiful in Leeds, has recently had its listed status upgraded by English Heritage to Grade II* in recognition of its historical, architectural and social importance.
It is on the Campaign for Real Ale's National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors, which both recognises and aims to protect the most unique pubs in the country.
The Garden Gate has been described as 'a treasure house of turn of the century decorative design' with 'a wealth of internal riches that include lavish tilling, faience and etched glass with art nouveau motifs, mosaic floors, moulded plasterwork and ornate mahogany fitments'.
The pub is open from 11.00-15.00 and 17.00-23.00 Monday-Friday and 11.00-23.00 Saturday and Sunday. Food is served untill 21.00 every day.

Directors Honoured at Young Achievers Awards

Leeds Brewery's directors have scooped the Management and Enterprise Award at this years Yorkshire Young Achievers Awards.
The awards, which are now in their 17th year recognise the achievements of young people across Yorkshire whilst at the same time raising money for Action for Children.
The Awards, held at the Leeds United Conference and Exhibition Centre at Elland Road, welcomed more than 400 guests, including internationally-renowned chef and restaurateur Raymond Blanc.
Past winners include Radio One DJ Chris Moyles, The Kaiser Cheifs and World Champion athlete Jessica Ennis.

Leeds Pale packs a Punch

Leeds Brewery's Leeds Pale is now available directly to local pubs in the Punch Taverns estate.
The deal means that the brewery can now supply a large number of local landlords and landladies who were previously unable to stock the beer, offering them a new local choice.
An initial 170 Punch Taverns pubs are able to order the beer and so far in only the first couple of weeks of supply, Punch have taken sizeable quantities of beer and demand is continuing to grow.
Brewing Up a Storm for J.D Wetherspoon

A Leeds Brewery beer will be featured in national pub chain J.D Wetherspoon's real ale beer festival during October and November.
Gathering Storm, the brewery's traditional stout, has been dispatched across the country and will be deivered into Wetherspoon pubs to be sold as part of the three week festival celebrating the chains 30th Anniversary.
Double Win for Midnight Bell

Leeds Brewery is celebrating a double win for Midnight Bell in two local beer festivals. The dark mild, which is one of the brewery's permanent beers, scooped gold medals at both the Sheffield and Wakefield CAMRA beer festivals.
Head Brewer Venkatesh Iyer said that he was 'delighted' with the wins and praised the hard work and dedication of his brewing team in continuing to create beers of both quaility and consistency.
These awards can be added to Midnight Bell's already burgeoning awards cabinet as the beer continues to pick up accolades across the country.
